John has extensive real-world catastrophe experience that has enabled enhanced decision-making and shaped policy across the Asia Pacific. Under John’s leadership Risk Frontiers is positioned to tackle next generation risks.
John’s specialty interests are in quantitative risk analysis, decision-making and policy issues surrounding a wide range of natural hazards. He also has expertise in Cost Benefit and Real Options analyses.
John’s earlier research background was in physics, soil science, weather risk and financial risk analysis. He has 95 peer-reviewed publications on various aspects of weather risk, boundary layer physics and natural catastrophe risks. He has French language skills.
John has published three books: Where Wine Flows like Water – A Gastronomic Pilgrimage through Spain, Shifting Sands and And being of Sound Mind.
